My name is Sierra Erickson. I’m a professional chef and this is my platform that allows me to express my undeniable love for food and bring the fresh, beautiful, tasty & always seasonal experience to you.

I’m based in Boston, but also will travel to Maine, NH & most of Massachusetts for a class or event. I’m here to take care of you.

More likely than not, I’m probably in a kitchen right now.

I have always been artistic so naturally I learned I really like making pretty food. After graduating with an AS in Baking & Pastry Arts & BS in Culinary Management, I’ve spent more of these past five years working in fine dining using tweezers to plate most of the food I touch. While I was in school, I was a chef at a higher-end catering company, for which I did private dinners — and that’s where I fell in love with the private experience.

Over time, I became more fascinated with food & quite frankly fell head over heels with pasta from scratch since learning in Florence, Italy.

Nothing makes me happier than putting a plate in front of someone and they almost don’t want to eat it, it looks that good. As the perception of food involves all the senses, the eyes do eat first, ALWAYS.

Private Events

Catering to every palette, respecting dietary or medical restrictions and preferences, I offer menu options featuring a fusion of flavors and fine dining with finesse — or comfort/family style; totally up to you.

I design not only the meal — but the entire dining experience for intimate dinners, casual meals, or large parties! I source fresh & in-season ingredients and can draw from many styles and techniques from around the world.

 

Cooking Lessons

I offer one on one sessions to learn the basics of traditional Italian cuisine or try your hand at something more exotic like Thai or Japanese. I run everything from pasta making to sushi preparation. Classes can be small intimate affairs for singles/couples or larger events for groups of friends or a family. Just give me an idea of what you would like to learn and then I can propose a program for you.

I am dedicated to sharing my experience & promoting the understanding of food and love of cooking through well-executed, informative, interactive classes. Whether you want to have a cooking party for a dozen or serious personal instruction, I will tailor the experience to suit your needs.

Coming out of COVID, I was a private chef full time for about 6 months. Curiosity led me back into a professional kitchen because I am not even close to being done learning.

Today, I am currently the Chef De Cuisine at Deuxave (Forbes 4-star French restaurant) while also pursuing my passion project of learning everything there is to know about food — the science, culture, technique, and history.
